Think that I've got a copy of the previous BIOS. Will try upgrading the CPU on my Win-8 510 and post back here. MCE and nPVR seem to be fighting over tuners. Don't think that nPVR is working properly either from what I'm able to recall. Installed Win-8 onto another eBuyer bought 510 however MCE doesn't want to play-ball at all with nPVR also installed. I'm leaving this particular 510 'as-is' with XP-MCE installed and a 120GB SSD as nPVR aka GB-PVR has been working well under this particular platform with some Hauppauge Win-TV USB DVB-T Receivers (need to give Media Portal a try though I think) and besides this under MCE the VFD is functioning and MCE isn't trying to use any tuners other than the factory installed Yuan one's.

Installed the T7200 into a Mac Mini and it seems to be okay therefore haven't a clue what the MS error message was being generated from other than the failed Acronis True Image installation. Found a version of Eurosoft PC-Check that I'd bought and run diagnostics on the RAM and found no issues (granted could've used and usually use Memtest86). The only other hardware change is the 3GB DDR2 that has been installed. Anyway reinstalled the original CPU and the same problems were apparant which I'd thought was unusual.

Was finding that reboots were occurring whilst trying (and failing) to install Acronis True Image (tried two versions and they both cause the same issue). Find Memtest brilliant for testing RAM but was wondering whether there was an equivalent for testing CPUs.

Frustrating never the less.Дoes anyone on here have any recommendations on 'stress test' software (preferably Open-Source as strapped for cash) for testing a newly installed CPU. Possibly bought a CPU with a fault that's not immediately apparent unless put under some form of load so to speak at a guess as it'd only freeze whilst downloading and installing upgrades and certain applications. Would like to fit another CPU however put off a little with the issues experienced with the T7200 that was fitted. Did some Google searches for the required datasheet however without avail. Still interested to find out whether the FSB can be successfully 'tweaked'. Fitted an SSD as want to keep running costs to a minimum however. That's one thing I'd noticed with the originally installed hard disk - it was quite noisy. Fitted an SSD however and, in all fairness Win-XP MCE seems to be working a whole lot quicker. Contact your computer manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer for an updated version of BIOS for your computer's processor.Дowngraded CPU from T7200 to originally fitted T5500 and Win-XP MCE seems to be a whole lot more stable.

Uh oh CPU upgrade hasn't gone very well at all. I asked to the SetFsb developer if it could depend on our hardware system or if SetFsb needs still to be improved on ICS954105BFLF. Going further I get the system crash (as the 2.3.173.133 case). System is stable and the temperature remain more or less as running at original settings. I'm able just to overclock from 1.66 to 1.68 GHz. With the fixed test version of SetFsb it goes a little better but do not expect so much. Anyway I've asked him if can post it here. I asked the developer if he is going to publish it. The fixed release has been just sent to me for testing purpose and it is not still published. So I contacted the developer of SetFsb and actually there was a bug on ICS954105BFLF that he kindly has fixed. Whatever the Mhz you select, the system runs for few seconds at 1.9 Ghz (from 1.6) and then the window's blue screen appears saying that a critical process died unexpectedly.

As JohnAddison wrote, using the SetFsb 2.3.173.133, the system crashes after a bunch of seconds.
